Oh perfect! That is the PERFECT job for him. I can just see him scampering around the British Library, and caring for all the old texts. My sister, believe it or not, is actually a certified Conservator (in addition to her MSIS) with a speciality in books and paper. I am so jealous of her life sometimes - working at the Library of Congress, repairing the leather binding on a 300 year old book or cleaning an ancient map. It's art and chemistry and tinkering, and it's perfect for the Doctor. I also adore the idea of Rose doing a degree in Anthropology and Archeology. That would fit her so well.
