And yikes! Now I feel that I'm going to screw this up big time, what with the details of the actual job. I've always thought it would be such an interesting thing to do, but I know next to nothing about it. Please let me know if I get something wrong.

As for Rose, I originally had her as a humanities major until nipplemuggins said that wouldn't work. Then I got to thinking that Rose might be interested in learning about past cultures. And I'm a little obsessed with Bones right now. ;)
